Jasna Ski resort is the largest and modern ski resort in Slovakia. Boasting over 70km of piste with excellet lift system, the resort has set itself up to be one of the best kept secrets of Europe. Add into this the prices of the region and you have yourself possibly the most cost effective trips imagineable. Based over 2 sides of chopok mountain, the resort offers north and south facing slopes reaching up to 2024 meters in altitude.

The resort caters for beginners as well as advanced riders equally, offering a great progression of slopes. Start out on the Biela Put slopes serviced by a chairlift to help you get started, then move onto the 3.5km blue run to the left of the resort which offers excellent opportunity to hone your skills. Advanced riders have 5 freeride zones to choose from - meaning designated off piste that challenges the senses. Add into the mix an endless supply of tree lines to choose from and you have yourself a varied and progressive resort that has the services and infrastructure to support its status as central Europes premier destination.

For the 2012/13 season the resort has invested heavily to open a new connection between the North and South sides of the resort, meaning that the entire two sides will be open on a permanent basis. This addition shows the commitment and drive Jasna resort has in order to truly compete with its Alpine cousins. With the ability to work in wind speeds of 120km/ph, its more likely that you will give up the wish to ski before the lift gives in to the conditions!
